Autumn is my all-time favorite season. The weather cools down, the leaves change color, and everything just feels cozy. In order to celebrate this wonderful season, each year I try to complete my autumn bucket list. This bucket list is filled with fun fall activities that push me to seek out new adventure. I hope that with my personal fall bucket list, you can find some inspiring ideas to create your very own!

The Ultimate Autumn Bucket List
I am so excited to present my personal autumn bucket list. Each of the items below I try to complete during the fall time. However, I never stress out about completing each item. Instead, this list serves as a template of activity ideas I can use to fill up my weekends with adventure, relaxation, and seasonal fun. I hope this list inspires you to follow your very own fall bucket list too!
Go Apple Picking
First, apple picking is one of my favorite autumn activities. Many apple orchards host harvest events where you can adventure around and pick your own apples to bring home!
Drink a Flavorful Latte
We all know autumn is the perfect time for coffee. I’m thinking pumpkin spice, hazelnut, and yummy salted caramel. Drink them all!
Try a New Crockpot Recipe
Throughout the fall, I am constantly switching back and forth between my crockpot and instant pot (this is the crockpot I have and this is the instant pot I have, I swear by both!). They make fabulous meals and make the house smell AMAZING.

See the Leaves Change Color
Next, look up when your leaves are predicted to change and schedule out some time for a scenic drive to enjoy the beautiful colors.

Speaking of the color change, another great way to enjoy the leaves is to go on a scenic autumn hike in the wilderness!

Spend an afternoon baking a homemade pie from scratch! Check out this recipe book, it makes pie baking SUPER easy!
Watch a Fun Autumn Film
Immerse yourself in the autumn season by watching a fun fall film! Some of my favorites include:

One of my favorite DIY projects over the fall is to create a new autumn wreath and hang it up inside my home. If this sounds too intimidating, you can easily just purchase one instead (like this GORGEOUS one!).

Apple cider is a must-add to any autumn bucket list. It’s like the signature autumntime drink!

Make an Apple Recipe
There really is no such thing as too much apple during fall. Celebrate this great seasonal fruit by baking a recipe you’ve never tried before! Need some ideas? Try: caramel apple muffins, apple crisp, apple pie, apple chips, apple maple pork, squash and apple soup, apple and candied walnut salad, cinnamon and apple cake, and apple butter on biscuits.

Create an Autumn Trail Mix
Speaking of treats, be sure to have an awesome autumn snack mix on hand that you can easily grab on the go! This pre-made mix is awesome! Or you could create your own featuring seasonal favorites such as dried cranberries, walnuts, chex cereal, popcorn, and fall M&Ms.
Rake then Jump in a Pile of Leaves
An autumn bucket list must-have is jumping into a pile of leaves. This can be so much fun and makes for great photos.
Go on a Train Ride
Fun fact, trains are my absolute favorite form of transportation. I love riding on our light rail system or across the country on multi-day rides. It is just so relaxing and fun! Did you know you can easily book a full day on the train and be home in time for dinner? Easily arranged! (Well, of course, depending on where you live). Anyways, trains are a great way to look at the fall colors while reading a great book.
Cook a Squash Recipe
It is definitely squash season! Time to go grab some from your local market and find a new recipe to try out.
Visit a Corn Maze
I absolutely LOVE going to the corn maze! Go with a group of friends and see if you can find your way out without any help or map.
Host or Attend a Friendsgiving Dinner
Before the busy holiday festivities begin, be sure to spend some time with your friends and host a fun Friendsgiving meal. We love hosting a fancy potluck style meal with games and movies afterwards. Our favorite autumntime game right now is Betrayal at House on the Hill (it is a MUST! So much fun!!).
Visit a Museum
Autumn is a great time to visit a local museum! You can spend a day exploring fun exhibits, gaining some new knowledge, and avoiding the chilly weather.

Host a Large Family Dinner
Fall is also a great time to get together with family and have a large, extravagant meal together (Thanksgiving anyone?).

Enjoy the fall foliage on an afternoon drive through the mountains. Be sure to stock up on snacks and warm beverages before you leave!
Cook Warm Stew or Chili
Stew is, hands down, my favorite fall meal. Pull out your instant pot (this is the one I have and swear by!) and whip up some awesome meals!
Make an Autumn Flower Arrangement
Run to the nearby market and pick up some awesome flowers to fill your home. Some of my fall favorites are dark red and orange roses, sunflowers, dahlias, and chrysanthemums.
Wear Your Favorite Flannel and Boots
As the weather becomes colder, it is time to start digging out those warmer clothes!
Craft with Beautiful Fallen Leaves
Add some mod-podge or press your leaves to keep them colorful, then creates some awesome crafts with them! Like garlands, wreaths, or center pieces.
Knit a Sweater or a Scarf
What is cozier than knitting? Nothing I can think of!
Purchase a New Book from a Local Bookstore
Check out a new local bookstore and spend an afternoon looking for a great new autumn read.
