Why You Should Create a Book List
I went from reading 3-5 books to over 50 books a year by doing two simple things.
The first thing is creating a yearly booklist.
This allowed me to never experience the dreaded âbook hangover.â Instead, I now always have a new book title waiting at my fingertips.
It’s also a huge time saver. I no longer spend hours of time sorting through book ideas after completing each book.
I just create a yearly book list at the beginning of the year and start reading!
Here are all my archived lists book lists.
How to Read More in 2024
The second simple thing I incorporated into my life to allow me to read over 50 books a year is listening to audiobooks.
When you listen to books, you leave your hands (and eyes) free to perform other tasks, allowing you to fit reading into your everyday life with ease.
This means you can read books while youâŠ
- đ Drive to work
- đ„ Grocery shop
- đ§Œ Clean the kitchen
- đ Fold the laundry
- đ„ Cook dinner
- đ Exercise
The list goes on and on!
Listening to audiobooks is such a fantastic way to stay entertained throughout the day, allowing you to speed through your binge-worthy book list with ease.
So, how do you get started with audiobooks?
Iâm sure youâve heard this before, but by far the best way to listen to audiobooks is through Audible.
Audible is my favorite audiobook service that can be downloaded right to your phone.
It is simple, easy to use, and always up-to-date with the latest and greatest books on the market.

Bonus Tip: Switch Reading Methods
One additional tip to help read more in the year is to test out different methods of reading.
Rotate between audiobooks, digital books, and physical copies.
For digital books, of course, Kindles are all the rage (I get it, Iâm absolutely obsessed with mine!).
You can find hard-copy books for a fantastic deal in thrift stores (older books) and on Amazon (newer books).Â
