The Olden Chapters Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from theoldenchapters.com (the “Site”).

Personal Information I Collect

When you visit the Site, I automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device (see “Cookie Policy” below). Additionally, as you browse the Site, I collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. How Do I Use Your Personal Information?

I use the information you provide to me (such as your email address and name) to communicate with you. When in line with the preferences you have shared with me, to also provide you with information or advertising relating to my products or services. 

I use the Device Information that I collect to help me screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize my Site (for example, by generating analytics about how my customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of my marketing and advertising campaigns).

I never share your personal information with third parties.

Additional Information I Want You To Know:

I do not intentionally target people in the EU as readers of my blog, email list subscribers, or as customers for my courses. However, I am still taking the following steps to protect the privacy of all of my readers and customers. I will continue to do my absolute best to always consider the privacy of my valued readers and customers. 

I want you to know that I have Google Analytics installed. You can read more about this on their site to learn more about what they collect, link below. I offer mailing list options too. When you provide your email address to me for one of my courses, quick guides, or for my regular email newsletter, I will add you to my email list and you will occasionally be sent an email with a broad range of topics from college life, to travel, to productivity and more. If you provide your email address to my for any reason via one of these signups, you will be subscribed to my email list. You can opt-out at any time by using the unsubscribe link on all of my emails. 

I have never and will never sell my email list. 

Occasionally I have sponsored posts and sponsored content on my site. The companies that advertise on my site will often have their own tracking code that I add to each sponsored post.
